Privacy Policy — MTG Counter

Effective date: June 10, 2026

MTG Counter (com.netkot.mtgcounter) is a simple life counter app for the Magic: The Gathering card game. It is available as an Android app and as a web page. This policy describes what data the app handles.

Data collection

MTG Counter does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs.

Local storage

The app saves its game state (current life totals, poison counters, number of players, starting life, and chosen card colors) in local storage on your device, so the game can be restored when you reopen the app. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Permissions

The Android app requests only the INTERNET permission, which is a technical requirement of the WebView framework the app is built on. The app does not make any network requests. The app may also keep your screen awake during a game (Screen Wake Lock); this happens entirely on the device.

Web version

The web version is hosted on GitHub Pages. As with any website, GitHub may log basic technical information (such as IP addresses) when serving pages — see the GitHub Privacy Statement. The app itself collects nothing.

Children

The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
